The original aluminium Illum table designed for Tribù by Belgian design duo Merckx & Maes is the basis for this brand new teak version. Inspired by the continuous contours of the original table, the table top in Illum’s teak version connects with the slender legs in a single, smooth curve.
The corners are hand-sculpted and sanded from a single piece of wood, showing off the natural beauty of the teak. There are no hard edges on this table. The joints and contours are gently rounded, adding to its tactile appeal and giving the new Illum a warm, pleasing look.
The Illum table is supplied with a teak or ceramic table top in a variety of colours: White, linen, piombo, Carrara.
Available in a standard 98cm-width as well as a narrower 73cm width its I ideal for casual dining on smaller patios and balconies.
The narrow size in a higher version is also the ideal proportion for use as a slim and elegant bar table.
